Vermont’s Northland Journal is owned by Scott and Penny Wheeler of Derby but the mission of the Journal — preserving and sharing the history and culture of the Northeast Kingdom — is a team effort. The newest member of the team is Andrea Webster of Glover. She will focus her time on advertising and marketing. A senior at Lake Region Union High School, Andrea is active in school and in her community. She is particularly proud of her involvement in the high school fall theater productions and productions with Vermont Family Theatre. Although a lifelong resident of the Kingdom, Andrea loves to travel to other parts of the country. She attends annual leadership conferences in such places as Boston, Washington, D.C., and New York City. These conferences help students develop their skills as future leaders, and form close relationships with other students from around the world. In return she brings home many new skills she can use in her life and community. Although Andrea has just begun her involvement with the Journal as a person interested in local history, she has been a supporter of the Journal and its mission for several years. Her cousin Theresa Perron-Janowski of Perron Graphics in West Glover has provided her talents as the layout person for the Journal since almost its inception in April 2002. Jeannine B. Young, also of West Glover, and owner of Little House Desktop Publishing, joined the team at the same time. Jeannine is the editor of the Journal.
